Description
Ever put your reading glasses down and had to search for them? Then Harriet is just the hat for you! This cheery and vivid green tree frog will happily mind your glasses or other smallish items, like pens, paintbrushes, scarves, bracelets, mitts, letters or sheets of paper and so on. Her legs, fingers and toes are all individually wired, so she can securely grasp all sorts of stuff with her hands and feet.
Harriet ‘sits’ on a rib crochet ‘lily pad’ of viridian green yarn; slightly stretchy rib stitch to keep her snug around the wearer’s noggin. Her deep-orange eyeballs and her limbs are all padded with synthetic fill to keep them pleasingly plump.
She is sized to cuddle and enliven a cranium of between about 55cm/21.5” to 59cm/23”. (I allow a little leeway in measuring- if you have a 23.25” or 21.25” head, for example, she should fit.)
Several of the photos show Harriet not sitting on my head model- for these I temporarily padded her body to show her shape, including her cute little slightly-tapering tail-region.
Please note- Harriet is very, very, very bright green- pretty much hi vis green for all her body, with touches of hi vis yellow in places, and super bright, deep orange eyeballs. Her belly is a paler yellow and isn’t quite so bright as the rest of her. But that’s only a few rows. Honestly, the photos don’t show her nearly so bright as she actually is because I took them on a dull day and can only adjust the colour so much. She is BRIGHT green!
Harriet is a unique, individual piece of wearable Art headgear, designed and robustly crocheted by myself. No patterns were harmed, or even used in her making.
Harriet is made from synthetic fibres, so she is suitable for vegans. She doesn’t mind a bath, but please handwash and rinse her, then roll her in a towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture, and lay her on her tummy to dry flat-tish. Do not machine wash, bleach or tumble dry Harriet, please- mainly for the sake of her intricate, millinery wire ‘skeleton’.
She is also available on my etsy shop, but please note, she is unique- there will only be one of her!
Shipping
I use Australia Post and usually send out parcels within 24 hours, except on weekends and public holidays, when the local post office is closed. Shipping to the US/UK should take about a week to ten days, but unfortunately shipping delays can happen sometimes. If that’s the case, let me know and I can follow up the parcel’s progress from this end and keep buyers informed.
Tracking will be provided to all destinations that allow for tracking- that includes Australia, the US, UK and New Zealand.
