Description
This front of this cute and useful handbag has an idyllic, hand painted and embroidered rural scene with embroidered daisies and an orange butterfly in the foreground, hills, trees and clouds in the background.
The hand painted back has a handy, phone-sized pocket, waveform embroidery and boasts deep to mid blue tones. The top of the bag has a zip to close the whole interior, with a little vintage crystal dangle attached to the zipper pull.
This bag is all about detail- there are so many useful and nifty little ideas that will make this bag a much-loved and used accessory. It would be great as a handbag, or could be worn across the body, and would be perfect for carrying a small laptop or large tablet. I could also see it being ideal for yarn, knitting needles and/or crochet hooks etc. for craft projects on-the-go.
“Butterfly Country” was made by my mother, Lorraine Wiseman, who also adds items to this shop from time to time.
It is lined with matching teal blue cotton fabric, and inside are three more pockets, the larger of which has a zip fastener. There is also an extra, neat, little strap with a sturdy metal clip attached to secure your keys.
Similar clips fasten the 132cm/52”, removable shoulder strap to the bag. Inside the strap is a cord, for extra durability, security and added weight-carrying capacity. If needed, the strap could be shortened at no cost to the buyer- if you would like the strap made shorter, please convo me with your preferred length.
The bag itself is rectangular, 30cm/12” deep by 20cm/8” wide. It is not completely flat- it is 2.5cm/1” thick.
The bag is made of 100 percent cotton, so is washable and durable. The paints used are the same type as I have been using for tshirts for many years- they are very, very colourfast.
Care Instructions. Do not bleach; Rinse well; Normal spin dry; Do not tumble dry; Dry flat in shade; Warm iron; Dry cleanable
Shipping
We use Australia Post and usually send out parcels within 24 hours, except on weekends, because the post office is closed Saturday and Sunday. Shipping to the US/UK should take about a week to ten days, but unfortunately shipping delays can happen sometimes. If that’s the case, let me know and I can follow up the parcel’s progress from this end and keep buyers informed.
Buyers will have a tracking number to keep tabs on their parcel’s progress via the Australia Post website.
Where possible, I’m using express/priority shipping etc. (at no cost to customers) for the most reliable delivery.
Australians- I’m presently using Express shipping within Australia to do my best to get parcels delivered as fast as possible.
