The Gilt Edged Gothic Goat, Crochet horned ear flap hat

Description

New and old gold tones accent fuzzy, velvety blacks in this fun and functional caprine ear flap hat with extravagant ears and happy horns. That pair of perky little padded old gold horns, 5cm/2” in length, sprout from the upper forehead area, above a beautifully soft and snuggly band of black feathers yarn. Large, loppy 10cm/4” long ears extend from the sides of the crown. They are black at the back, lined with purple-mauve-pink fuzzy feathers yarn and edged with matching gold eyelash yarn.

Tapestry crochet techniques are used in the crown section, with its subtle old gold against black, seven-pointed star and bobble design.

Hand twisted black-and-gold ear flap ties of approx. 26cm/10” boast luxuriant black tassels of 18cm/7”.

The Gilt Edged Goat ear flap hat should fit most, and is best suited to snuggle around and enliven a noggin of up to 60cm/23”.

This hat is a unique, individual piece of wearable Art headgear, designed and crocheted by myself. No patterns were harmed, or even used in its making.

The Gilt Edged Goat is robustly constructed from mainly brushed wool yarn, with synthetic gold eyelash yarn and black fathers and designer yarns. With care, it should give its owner many years of enjoyment. Please handwash and rinse it in lukewarm water (woolwash is recommended), then roll in a towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture, and dry flat. Do not bleach, machine wash or tumble dry.

Shipping- I use Australia Post and usually send out parcels within 24 hours, except on weekends and public holidays, when the local post office is closed. Shipping to the US/UK should take about ten days, but unfortunately shipping delays can happen sometimes. If that’s the case, customers should have a tracking number, but let me know and I’ll do my best to follow up the parcel’s progress from this end.

Tracking- I provide tracking within Australia and to countries where it is possible- most do allow for tracking, including the US, UK and Australia.

Australians- I’m presently sending all parcels within Australia via Australia Post Express post, to make sure they arrive as fast and reliably as possible, as well as providing a tracking number to the buyer.
